New Mexico Police Officer Caught In Surveillance Photo Having Sex On hood of Car

This gives new meaning to the police’s creed of serving the public.

A photo of what appears to be a police officer having sex with a woman on the hood of a car has caused an uproar in New Mexico.



The Huffington Post could not confirm independently that the man in question is a law enforcement officer, but Albuquerque, N.M. TV station KOB 4 and the Albuquerque Journal both identify the man as a uniformed officer.



The Santa Fe Sheriff's office released pictures to KOB in response to a public records request. The photos were taken from security footage at the Santa Fe Canyon Ranch.



Santa Fe County Sheriff Robert Garcia told the Journal that the photos were taken by a camera set up to catch graffiti taggers or other crimes.



An email and phone call to the New Mexico State Police were not immediately returned to HuffPost.

Other uniformed policeman have been caught having sex on the job. Earlier this month, a Louisiana state public safety officer was suspended for reportedly having sex in his patrol car.









Maybe somebody was filming a porn video? Or maybe this wasn’t really a cop at all but some guy dressed as a cop in some sort of role playing deal?

Warren Buffett’s company Berkshire Hathaway owes back taxes since 2002. Smells like hypocrisy to me

First of a let me say I admire Buffett very much. I believe in his method of investing in stocks, otherwise known a low-value investing. I think it’s the soundest way to invest and my portfolio is based on it.



However, when it comes to politics Warren Buffett is like a split personality. He openly once said that people shouldn’t benefit from being born in the “lucky sperm club” referring to heirs born to wealthy families and their need to pay higher inheritance taxes.



What makes Warren a hypocrite is that he doesn’t mind benefiting from low taxes rates that helped grow his businesses but then he has no problem wanting to change it for others after he accumulates his great wealth. Like most Liberal/Progressives I think Buffett suffers from deep guilt over his wealth and his calls for rich people paying more taxes is his way of doing penance.

This one’s truly, uh ... rich: Billionaire Warren Buffett says folks like him should have to pay more taxes -- but it turns out his firm, Berkshire Hathaway, hasn’t paid what it’s already owed for years.That’s right: As Americans for Limited Government President Bill Wilson notes, the company openly admits that it owes back taxes since as long ago as 2002.



“We anticipate that we will resolve all adjustments proposed by the US Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) for the 2002 through 2004 tax years ... within the next 12 months,” the firm’s annual report says.



It also cites outstanding tax issues for 2005 through 2009.



Obvious question: If Buffett really thinks he and his “mega-rich friends” should pay higher taxes, why doesn’t his firm fork over what it already owes under current rates?



Likely answer: He cares more about shilling for President Obama -- who’s practically made socking “millionaires and billionaires” his re-election theme song -- than about kicking in more himself.



Buffett’s free to back Obama, of course.

And if his firm wants to keep its tax bill low, well, that’s its right, too.



But it would be nice if this “pro-tax-hike” tycoon were a bit more honest about it.

Mass Gov Deval Patrick illegal aliens best friend ducks questions about his soft on illegals policy that kills people

Barack Obama’s buddy and fellow speech plagiarist, Mass Gov Deval Patrick believes illegal aliens are welcomed in Massachusetts under any circumstance—even if they kill people.



He’s another example of how Liberalism kills more than it protects.

My guess is that Hurricane Irene is going to kill a lot fewer Americans in Massachusetts this year than illegal aliens are. But don’t tell that to Gov. Deval Patrick — he doesn’t want to talk about dead Americans and the drunk Ecuadorians who killed them.



On Friday afternoon, on live statewide TV, the governor went on and on at the MEMA bunker in Framingham about emergency preparations and mobilizing the National Guard, etc. But just as he was wrapping up, Jon Keller of Channel 4 decided to get in a question about Matthew Denice, the 23-year-old Milford motorcyclist run down and killed by an allegedly drunken illegal from Ecuador a week ago last night.



Deval had spent the week hiding behind a written statement from his flack about this latest illegal-alien atrocity. So Keller figured he’d get something on videotape from the undocumented workers’ best friend in Massachusetts.



“Well,” Deval began, “first of all it’s a terrible, terrible tragedy for that family and my heart goes out to them and my prayers to them and the community who are outraged.”



Notice, he didn’t name the family, or the community, even though he attended a hearing in Milford on Secure Communities, the program to round up criminals like the accused Ecuadorian. Naturally, Deval vehemently opposes Secure Communities, and next he explained why.



“You know, illegal immigration didn’t kill this person. A drunk driver killed this person.”



Suppose an American had so brutally killed an illegal alien, dragging him down the street as he screamed, and then delivered the coup de grace by backing over him.



You can bet Deval would not only have known the illegal’s name, but would have visited his family, cameras (and interpreters) in tow. But with only an American taxpayer dead, the governor wanted to keep the subject on drunken driving.



“And, uh, we have laws about that.”



Yeah, and despite what Marsha Coakley says, we also have laws about being in this country illegally. Not to mention laws against driving without a license, and assaulting police and firefighters, all of which this illegal alien is accused of violating with impunity

A number of media outlets have already reported that an illegal immigrant from Kenya by the name of Onyango Obama, 67, was arrested last week on Wednesday after he nearly rammed his SUV into a police car in Framingham, Massachusetts.



He was later charged with DUI among other violations. I spoke to Framingham Public Information Officer Lieutenant Delaney who told me that when Onyango Obama was asked at booking if he wanted to make a telephone call to arrange for bail, the Kenyan immigrant replied: "I think I will call the White House."



It should be noted that the Times of London, highlighted an Onyango Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign, when the British daily found President Barack Obama's “Aunt Zeituni” living in Boston illegally.:

This is the only time you will hear me pull the race card. You’d have to be a member of a minority group like myself to get it though. It’s a common joke in the ‘hood whenever you hear about somebody doing something crazy or out-the-ordinary, chances are that person is gonna be white.

City Officials Say Rikers Island Is Safe From Storm

Lefty bloggers went nuts because Rikers Island wasn’t part of the evacuation plans for the city of New York.



It was all much ado about nothing because the criminals at RI were never in danger. Not like it would’ve been a big deal if they were.

In response to concerns about the safety of Rikers Island during Hurricane Irene, city officials said Saturday that the prison facility is safe from the storm.



City officials say the island is not in Zone A, the area designated most vulnerable to flooding, so there's no reason to move the prisoners and guards to a different location. They add that all power sources have been inspected and all outdoor furniture has been secured.



The president of the Correction Officers' Benevolent Association, Norman Seabrook, said he is concerned about union members, but believes they will make the best of the situation.

Obama shows up at FEMA headquarters for Photo Op

The mainstream media is doing its usual job of portraying President Obama like he knows what he’s doing. It’s a pretty lame though considering most people already know the opposite is true.

US President Barack Obama warned the US east coast was in for a "long 72 hours" as he led his government's response to Hurricane Irene at a disaster command center in Washington.



Obama on Saturday chaired a meeting at the National Response Coordination Center (NRCC) set up at the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) headquarters in Washington, which is marshaling federal and local hurricane-relief efforts.



"This is going to be a tough slog getting through this thing," Obama said during a video teleconference including senior federal officials and local government agencies in the east coast path of Irene.



"It's going to be a long 72 hours. Obviously a lot of families are going to be affected ... the biggest concern I'm having right now has to do with flooding and power," Obama said during the videoconference.



"(It) sounds like that's going to be an enormous strain on a lot of states" that could last days, or even longer in some cases, he said.

5:05 p.m. - The City of Hampton is imposing a curfew for residents. No one, other than emergency personnel, should be out between 11 p.m. tonight and 6 a.m. tomorrow. The curfew will be in effect until the severe weather conditions subside.

Workers at One World Trade Center were frantically trying to secure construction equipment today ahead of hurricane Irene's impending arrival, as the giant tropical storm threatened to destroy years of preparation for the memorial marking the tenth anniversary of 9/11.



The memorial site is located in Zone A which would be one of the first areas to flood and with the ferocious winds which have swept up the East Coast today, both the construction work to the tower and the memorial site are under threat.



However New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg denied that the hurricane would effect the September 11 memorial, scheduled exactly two weeks today, despite critics voicing their fears that the storm could ruin preparations.



Mr Bloomberg said: 'Currently, 13 of the 24 tower cranes active in are city are located at the World Trade Center site.



'For those that want to know, this work stoppage will not have any effect on the scheduled opening of the 9/11 Memorial in time for the 10th anniversary of that tragic day. Since Wednesday, inspectors have been inspecting construction sites across the city to ensure equipment is properly secured.'



In September 1821 a hurricane raised tides by 13 feet in an hour and flooded the southernmost tip of Manhattan in an area that now covers the World Trade Center memorial.

Hurricane Irene has claimed at least five lives, including one child, as it lashed parts of the U.S. East coast with ferocious 115mph wind gusts this morning.



Irene's strength waned last night as it was downgraded to a category 1 hurricane, but its brutal power proved fatal when the slow-moving storm made landfall on the outer banks of North Carolina.



Damaging winds and torrential rain have led to an unprecedented lockdown as the storm roars its way northwards toward New York, where it is expected to hit on Sunday morning, according to the National Hurricane Centre.

Three hundred seventy thousand New Yorkers were ordered to evacuate their homes and businesses as experts warned Irene could wreak havoc when it hits the Big Apple because of storm surges pushing seawater ashore and heavy rainfall causing flooding.



The nation's largest subway system and arriving flights at the five main New York City-area airports were halted at noon on Saturday as Hurricane Irene spun its way up the Eastern Seaboard, threatening 20 per cent of the U.S. population.

Inmates at Rikers Island are left behind as Hurricane Irene approaches. So what?

Had not these men and woman committed crimes to earn a cot at Rikers, they wouldn’t be in a low lying area behind bars as the flood comes in. I don’t have any sympathy for them. I care more for the their victims instead.

“We are not evacuating Rikers Island,” Mayor Michael Bloomberg said in a news conference this afternoon.



Bloomberg announced a host of extreme measures being taken by New York City in preparation for the arrival of Hurricane Irene, including a shutdown of the public transit system and the unprecedented mandatory evacuation of some 250,000 people from low-lying areas. But in response to a reporter’s question, the mayor stated in no uncertain terms (and with more than a hint of annoyance) that one group of New Yorkers on vulnerable ground will be staying put.



New York City is surrounded by small islands and barrier beaches, and a glance at the city’s evacuation map reveals all of them to be in Zone A (already under a mandatory evacuation order) or Zone B–all, that is, save one. Rikers Island, which lies in the waters between Queens and the Bronx, is not highlighted at all, meaning it is not to be evacuated under any circumstances.



According to the New York City Department of Corrections’ own website, more than three-quarters of Rikers Island’s 400 acres are built on landfill–which is generally thought to be more vulnerable to natural disasters. Its ten jails have a capacity of close to 17,000 inmates, and normally house at least 12,000, including juveniles and large numbers of prisoners with mental illness–not to mention pre-trial detainees who have yet to be convicted of any crime. There are also hundreds of corrections officers at work on the island.

Satellite data and measurements from the Hurricane Hunters show that Irene is weakening.



A 9:21 am EDT center fix by an Air Force Reserve aircraft found that Irene's eyewall had collapsed, and the central pressure had risen to 946 mb from a low of 942 mb this morning.



The highest winds measured at their flight level of 10,000 feet were 125 mph, which would normally support classifying Irene as a Category 3 hurricane with 115 mph winds. However, these winds were not mixing down to the surface in the way we typically see with hurricanes, and the strongest surface winds seen by the aircraft with their SFMR instrument were just 90 mph in the storm's northeast eyewall.



Assuming the aircraft missed sampling the strongest winds of the hurricane, it's a good guess that Irene is a mid-strength Category 2 hurricane with 100 mph winds.



Satellite imagery shows a distinctly lopsided appearance to Irene's cloud pattern, with not much heavy thunderstorm activity on the southwest side. This is due to moderate wind shear of 10 - 20 knots due to upper-level winds out of the southwest. This shear is disrupting Irene's circulation and has cut off upper-level outflow along the south side of the hurricane. No eye is visible in satellite loops, but the storm's size is certainly impressive.



Long range radar out of Wlimington, North Carolina, shows that the outermost spiral bands from Irene are now beginning to come ashore along the South Carolina/North Carolina border. Winds at buoy 41004 100 miles offshore from Charleston, SC increased to 36 mph as of 10 am, with significant wave heights of 18 feet.

Former Orioles pitcher Mike Flanagan 'committed suicide by shooting himself in the face'

This is so sad!



I used to watch Flanagan pitch against the Yankees and wished he would be traded to the Mets. This is really shocking news and so unnecessary to take your own life because a team is lousy.



But, I can’t help feeling there’s more to this story that’s being reported.

Mike Flanagan, a former Cy Young winner and part of the Baltimore Orioles' 1983 World Series championship team, died of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot at his home. He was 59.



Authorities found a body outside Flanagan's home in Monkton, Maryland on Wednesday afternoon after his anxious wife, who hadn't heard from him since an upset 1 am phone call, sent a neighbor to find him. The neighbor in turn called 911.



Hours later, the Orioles confirmed that Flanagan — who served the team as a pitcher, front office executive and television broadcaster — was dead.



Baltimore County Police Chief James Johnson told The Baltimore Sun Thursday that the death was an apparent suicide.



'I was contacted late afternoon [Wednesday] and informed that it appears we had a suicide,' Johnson said.



A source told the paper that Flanagan had shot himself in the face, making the identification process take longer.



Flanagan is survived by his wife Alex and daughters Kathryn, Kerry and Kendall.



Police said Thursday he was upset about financial issues.

'I am so sorry to hear about Mike's passing. He was a good friend and teammate,' said Hall of Fame third baseman Cal Ripken Jr., a former teammate of Flanagan's. 'Mike was an Oriole through and through and he will be sorely missed by family, friends and fans. This is a sad day.'



Flanagan was a crafty left-hander who went 167-143 with a 3.90 ERA over 18 seasons with Baltimore and Toronto. He didn't possess an overpowering fastball, but won a fair share of games by depending on a slow curve, a sinker and a changeup.

Washington, D.C. Earthquake 5.8 Felt In New York

I was coming in from lunch like any other ordinary day. The elevator doors flew open and it was packed with people trying to get out. I saw a co-worker of mine who told me the building was shaking.



I didn’t feel a thing probably because I was on the ground floor. So, we had a little shaking going on in NY, and I missed it.

Preliminary reports are indicating that a 5.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in Virginia at 1:51 pm EDT., according to the USGS.



Shaking has been reported as far north as New York. Reports of shaking have also been coming in from the New England area. According to the USGS, a magnitude 5.5 Eastern US earthquake can typically be felt as far as 300 miles away.

The USGS reported that epicenter of the quake was located in Louisa, Va. just southeast of Charlottesville and northwest of Richmond.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake was half a mile deep. Shaking was felt at the White House and all over the East Coast, as far south as Chapel Hill, N.C. Parts of the Pentagon, White House and Capitol were evacuated. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

Verizon Union works end 2 week strike and will return to work without a new contract, out 2 weeks pay, and with their tails between their legs

Here’s the story between the lines that you won’t find in these two reports, New York Times, and Verizon News.



The landline business is shrinking because more and more people are opting to use their cell phones as their main phone service. As a result of this Verizon’s Wireline division is losing money. So, Verizon has to cut costs to make the business profitable again.



A large part of that cost Verizon want to get under control is the cost of paying 100% of these 45,000 union workers healthcare benefits.



Here is what’s gonna happen.



These union employees are going to have to start paying towards their healthcare benefits like an overwhelming majority of the American people. So, these negotiations between the CWA, IBEW and Verizon will be about what percentage of these union workers salaries be the contribution towards their healthcare.



The days of paying nothing out-of-pocket for healthcare are coming to an end for these 45,000 dinosaurs in a dying business.



So despite what you may hear from these union leaders about getting to negotiate with Verizon, they were already negotiating Verizon on this whole point to begin with. So this strike accomplished nothing other than stopping the negotiations clock and costing 45,000 workers two weeks pay in these rough economic times.

Leaders of the unions that have been on strike against Verizon Communications announced on Saturday that they were ending the walkout even though the two sides had not reached an overall settlement for a new contract.



Beginning with the evening shift on Monday, the 45,000 striking workers will return to their jobs, posts that they left on Aug. 7 in the nation’s largest strike since 2007, when workers at General Motors held a two-day strike.



Union leaders are ending the walkout, they said, because Verizon management had finally agreed to engage in serious bargaining on the contentious issues after the company had originally insisted on negotiating more than 100 proposals for concessions.



Officials from the two unions that called the strike — the Communications Workers of America and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers — made the announcement on Saturday.



The strike was a painful one, forcing thousands of workers and their families to live without paychecks for two weeks and hurting Verizon’s image, as many customers complained of major delays for repairs and installations. The walkout involved workers from Massachusetts to Virginia in Verizon’s traditional landline operations and in its new FiOS Internet and cable operations, but not workers at Verizon Wireless, which is largely nonunion.



Union officials said they had originally called the strike because they felt they were not being taken seriously and because Verizon was insisting on so many and such sweeping concessions. Verizon was hardly budging from its original position, the unions said, another point of contention. Verizon is pushing for, among other things, a pension freeze for current workers, fewer sick days, an end to all job security provisions, far larger employee contributions toward health coverage, and freedom to do as much outsourcing as it wants.



Larry Cohen, the communications workers’ president, said in an interview Saturday that under an agreement reached Friday, the bargaining was being restructured to focus on major issues, with top Verizon officials indicating that there would be real progress in bargaining. Mr. Cohen said another factor that helped persuade the unions to return to work was that Verizon had agreed to keep the expired contract in force until a settlement is reached.



“Everybody knew we faced a long list of management demands and that’s why there was a strike, and we would go back into bargaining when the talks could be meaningful,” Mr. Cohen said. “We don’t consider this a victory in any way. We consider it progress toward a good process at Verizon.”



In a statement issued on Saturday, Verizon said the parties had agreed on a process “for moving forward to negotiate the major issues regarding benefits, cost structure, work flexibility and job security.”



Marc C. Reed, Verizon’s executive vice president for human resources, said Verizon believed that ending the strike “is in the best interest of our customers and our employees.”



“The company hasn’t conceded any of its proposals,” Mr. Reed said in an interview. “At the end of the day we still have health care on the table. We still have proposals on job security and moving work on the table.”

Mr. Reed said the unions had ended the strike because of “the pressure of having people not working in this tough economy.” He added, “This is a situation where the purpose of the strike may not have any need.”



Mr. Cohen acknowledged that the bargaining ahead might still be lengthy. He said Verizon initially seemed so dismissive of the two unions’ position and so unwilling to budge from its original stance that union negotiators felt the company was seeking in effect to wipe out the unions’ bargaining rights.



“The unions have been working with Verizon to restructure bargaining in a way that represents progress for everyone,” he said. “We believe that Verizon management shares the goal of meaningful bargaining.”



Jim Spellane, chief spokesman for the electrical workers’ union, said the unions went on strike to get management’s attention and to show that the workers could not be pushed around.



“The workers felt very strongly that their whole standard of living was under attack, that everything we’ve worked for for decades was under threat and wasn’t being taken seriously,” Mr. Spellane said. “They felt backed into a corner and so the strike was called.”



Verizon officials have repeatedly said they needed major concessions from the landline division employees to keep that business competitive and to increase its lagging profitability. The company said its traditional landline business had declines in profits and in its customer base, even though that division was slowly rebounding thanks to growth of Verizon’s FiOS fiber-optic business.

Verizon Communications today announced that its 45,000 wireline employees in nine Northeastern states and the District of Columbia who are represented by the CWA and IBEW will return to work beginning Monday night, Aug. 22, without new collective bargaining agreements.



Verizon and the unions have made headway in negotiating a number of local and regional issues, and the parties have agreed on a process for moving forward to negotiate the major issues regarding benefits, cost structure, work flexibility and job security.



Verizon said the wireline employees now on strike would be working under the terms of the contracts that expired on Saturday, Aug. 6. The contracts will be extended with no specific deadline for achieving new collective bargaining agreements so that the parties can take the time required to resolve the critical issues.

Striking Verizon workers use Obama/Alinsky community organizing tactics to protest outside Verizon VPs home

If there’s one thing Barack Obama knows how to do well, is to get people to protest in a very confrontational way. He learned it from his guru Saul Alinsky.











45,000 Verizon union workers are currently on strike because they feel they shouldn’t have to contribute a dime towards their health care insurance. They figure since Verizon is making billions, they can afford to cover the cost.



It was this type of thinking that sent GM into bankruptcy by covering the costs of their employees past, present, and future. The lesson Verizon has learned is that eventually costs only increase over time and a profitable company becomes unprofitable.



I have no sympathy for this entitlement minded Verizon union workers. If I and other emloyees have to contribute to my healthcare, so should these Verizon union workers. But, they think they’re special, when they’re not.



So they’re following the Obama/Alinsky playbook they tried up in Wisconsin to intimated Verizon exexs to get their way.

Manhattan DA's investigating Nafissatou Diallo DSK accuser/maid/hooker's lawyer over possible obstruction of justice

As I’ve said on prior posts, this is a shakedown by Nafissatou Diallo who’s trying to pass herself as an innocent maid when she’s actually a prostitute looking to make a big score.



She’s a con artist looking to score some cash to make this bogus civil suit to go away. Now her lawyer is getting caught with his pants down for his part of the shakedown.

The Manhattan DA's Office is investigating the maid's lawyer in the Dominique Strauss-Kahn sex-assault case to determine whether there may be grounds for possible obstruction-of-justice charges involving civil-settlement negotiations, according to a source briefed on the probe.



The lawyer, Kenneth Thompson, who represents Strauss-Kahn accuser Nafissatou Diallo, is not cooperating with the probe, and has declined to turn over notes from the negotiations, at which legal teams for both the maid and Strauss-Kahn held ultimately fruitless talks regarding a civil settlement this past June.



The district attorney's probe was prompted by allegations that, during those talks, Thompson told Strauss-Kahn's lawyers that Diallo would make the case go away -- for the right price -- by not cooperating with prosecutors.



Thompson declined to comment to The Post. He told The Wall Street Journal this week that claims about settlement negotiations were "false."



No settlement was ever reached. But prosecutors were very concerned to learn that Thompson may have been making potentially obstructionist offers to the defense at the same time that he was refusing to let Diallo meet with them, the source said.
