"Kimmy Dora" Earns P70M on its 3rd Week; "Yaya and Angelina" Rakes P6M on First Day

The much successful comedy film "Kimmy Dora: Kambal sa Kyeme" sealed Eugene Domingo's title as Philippines Diamond Comedy Queen.

Just last September 22, the cast, crew and producers of Kimmy Dora: Kambal sa Kyeme held a thanksgiving party for the success of the movie which according to reports hits P70 million on its 3rd week.

Spring Films, comprised by Joyce Bernal, Shayne Sarte, Eric Raymundo, and Piolo Pascual spent only P20 million to come up with the film that launches Eugene Domingo as this season's loca film surprised big star.

Do we see a sequel for the movie? I hope so.


On the other hand, another comedy film, the GMA Films and APT Entertainment produeced movie "Yaya and Angelina: The Spoiled Brat Movie" has reportedly earned P6 million on its first day.

With the overwhelming success of her launching movie Kimmy Dora: Kambal Sa Kyeme, Eugene Domingo is now being tagged as Philippine Showbiz "Diamond Comedy Queen".

According to Eugene, "Flattered ako sa mga sinasabi nila, pero mas importante sa akin, aside sa mga titulo, ay ang kumita ang movie namin. Tulungan naman natin ang producer namin na si Piolo dahil nagsugal siya ng malaki for this project. Si Piolo at ang ilang kaibigan ang dahilan kung bakit may Kimmy Dora at gusto naming i-share ang project na ito sa marami."


Eugene still can't believe the blessing that she continuously receives and endlessly thankful to her friends who supported her during her movie's red-carpet premiere last September 1 at SM Megamall.

She said, "Nagpapasalamat ako sa mga artistang nagbigay ng kanilang oras na mag-guest sa movie, tulad nina Regine, Erik, Mark, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, Rufa Mae Quinto, Vhong Navarro, Christian Bautista, Paolo Ballesteros, at marami pang iba. At siyempre din ang mga kaibigan ko sa teatro, kung saan ako nagmula, ay sumuporta sa amin."

Aside from her leading man Dingdong Dantes and the movie producer Piolo Pascual, also present during the event were Regine Velasquez, Piolo Pascual, KC Concepcion, Ariel Ureta, Mark Bautista, Mylene Dizon, Miriam Quiambao, Erik Santos, Gabby Eigenmann, Mosang, Archie Alemania, Pen Medina, Baron Geisler, Direk Andoy Ranay, Direk Dante Nico Garcia and some staff and executives of her Kapuso shows Cool Center and Adik Sa 'Yo.

Just today, the movie was given an "A" rating by the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB) which will free its producers from a full 100% amusement tax from the government.

Kimmy Dora: Kambal Sa Kyeme is now showing in more than 100 theaters nationwide.

Piolo Pascual and Joyce Bernal's Spring Films will have Eugene Domingo as the lead star in their first movie venture titled "Kimmy Dora: Kambal sa Kiyeme.

Kimmy Dora also stars Dingdong Dantes,Zanjoe Marudo as Kimmy Dora's love interests, Baron Geisler, Ariel Ureta, Miriam Quimbao, Archie Alemania, and Gabby Eigenmann.

Kimmy Dora: Kambal sa Kiyeme will be shown in theaters starting September 2 and will be released under Solar Films.

Finally, Eugene Domingo is being launched as the next big comedy actress via the movie "Kimmy Dora: Kambal sa Kyeme."

Kapuso hunk Dingdong Dantes will play as Eugene's love interest in this movie produced by Kapamilya hunk Piolo Pascual.

Also starring in the movie are Paolo Contis, Miriam Quiambao, Baron Geisler and Mark Bautista.

Joyce Bernal, the director of the box-office movie "For the First Time" and the top-rating tv series "Marimar" and "Dyesebel", will helm Kimmy Dora.
