Korean Actor Park Yong Ha Commits Suicide

32-years-old Korean actor and singer Park Yong Ha was found dead this morning in Seoul, South Korea.

Park Yong Ha reportedly died from hanging. He was found by his mother in his room at his Nonhyun-dong, Seoul, home with a cell phone cord around his neck at around 5:30 a.m.


Park debuted in Korea showbiz scene fifteen years ago in youth shows like KBS’s 1995 "Love Blossoms in the Classroom" and 1996's "Start". But his claim to fame is the 2002's "Winter Sonata", which made him a household name. He used that fame as a bridge to a successful singing career in Japan, where he enjoyed quite a lot of popularity. He had a successful drama hit in 2008's "One Air", and in 2009's "The Slingshot".

U.S. counterterrorism officials have linked one of the nation's most wanted terrorists to last year's thwarted plot to bomb the New York City subway system, authorities said Wednesday.

Current and former counterterrorism officials said top al-Qaida operative Adnan Shukrijumah met with one of the would-be suicide bombers in a plot that Attorney General Eric Holder called one of the most dangerous since the 9/11 terror attacks.

Federal prosecutors in Brooklyn have named Shukrijumah in a draft terrorism indictment but on Wednesday the Justice Department was still discussing whether to cite his role. Some officials feared that the extra attention might hinder efforts to capture him.
Shukrijumah's involvement shows how important the subway bombing plot was to al-Qaida's senior leadership. Intelligence officials believe Shukrijumah is one of the top candidates to become al-Qaida's next head of external operations, the man in charge of planning attacks worldwide.

I ask her the question her fans have been asking each other for years: Why did you stop putting out music?

“There were a number of different reasons,” she says. “But partly, the support system that I needed was not necessarily in place. There were things about myself, personal-growth things, that I had to go through in order to feel like it was worth it. In fact, as musicians and artists, it’s important we have an environment — and I guess when I say environment, I really mean the [music] industry, that really nurtures these gifts.

Oftentimes, the machine can overlook the need to take care of the people who produce the sounds that have a lot to do with the health and well-being of society, or at least some aspect of society. And it’s important that people be given the time that they need to go through, to grow, so that the consciousness level of the general public is properly affected. Oftentimes, I think people are forced to make decisions prematurely. And then that sound radiates.”

“I don’t know if you know this, but I have five children,” she says. “The youngest is 2 now, so she’s old enough that I can leave her for a period of time and know she’s going to be OK. That’s one reason [Hill is starting to perform again]. And I think it’s just time. I’m starting to get excited again. Believe it or not, I think what people are attracted to about me, if anything, is my passion. People got exposed to my passion through music and song first. I think people might realize, you know, ‘We love the way she sounds, we love the music, but I think we just love how fearless she is. How boundless she is, when it comes to what she wants to do.’ And I think that can be infectious.”

Celebrity Scene Stealers at the Noynoy Aquino Inauguration

As expected, with Kris Aquino as his sister, President Noynoy's Aquino's inauguration as the country's 15ht President, become another venue for a glamorous event of Philippine showbiz' who's who.

Very visible on the main stage were Kristina Bernadette Aquino-Yap (Kris) who was wearing a yellow Filipiniana gown designed by Randy Ortiz. Seated near Kris were Batangas Governor Vilma Santos and Senator Ralph Recto with son Ryan Christian; Sharon Cuneta in a black terno with husband Sen. Kiko Pangilinan and daughters Frankie, Miel and KC Concepcion in a white gown. Bing Loyzaga was spotted beside Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworski.

Most celebrity supporters of P-Noy who occupied the upper seats of the stands were Richard Gomez and wife, Leyte's 4th District Represenative Lucy Torres-Gomez, Cesar Montano and wife Sunshine Cruz, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera.

Former President and action star Joseph Estrada who placed 2nd to Noynoy in the Presidential election was also there. He was seated beside former President Fidel V. Ramos, who was seated on P-Noy's left side.

At 10:46 A.M., international pop singer Charice Pempengco sang the National Anthem, which was followed by the Ecumenical Invocation.

Singer-composer Jim Paredes and popular fictional character Juana Change served as hosts. The Philippine Madrigal Singers rendered "Bayan Ko," then maestro Ryan Cayabyab conducted his piece "Sasabihin Mo Ikaw ay Pilipino" with PhilHarmonic Orchestra.

APO Hiking Society also had a one-time stage reunion to sing "Minamahal Kong Bayan." Next was Christian Bautista, who did the a capella version of Josh Groban's "You Raised Me Up." The latter performed due to the impromptu request of the Presidential Committee, which made sure that the huge crowd would be entertained before noon, the time set for the oath-taking of the President.

Ogie Alcasid performed "Si Noynoy," followed by the heartfelt rendition of "Hindi Ka Nag-iisa" by Regine Velasquez. Afterwards, an ensemble of singers—including Ogie, Regine, Christian, Gary Valenciano, Nina, Jed Madela, Jim paredes, Gail Blanco, Noel Cabangon, and many more, together with Kundirana—sang "Bagong Pilipinas." The three songs were all composed by Ogie.

It was Noel Cabangon who had the people standing, cheering, and humming with his nationalistic pieces—"Tungo sa Pagbabago, Para sa Pagbabago," "Ako'y Isang Mabuting Pilipino," and "Kanlungan."

ABS-CBN bigwigs were there also present in the event. Those sighted were ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio, SVP Cory Vidanes, TV executive Deo Endrinal and Freddie M. Garcia.

Kris' "Tayong Dalawa" co-stars Kim Chiu and Coco Martin also witnessed the event. Agot Isidro, Mylene Dizon and Cherry Pie Picache were also among the attendees.

Other star attendees were actor-turned-Senator Tito Sotto and actress turned Congresswoman Lani Mercado.

Star Studio Magazine Launches the 1st Celebrity Style Awards 2010

Star Studio Magazine, the best in entertainment style and lifestyle magazine, highlights its 10th year milestone by mounting the first ever Star Studio Celebrity Style Awards.

In partnership with the Velvet channel and Metro Magazine, the Star Studio Celebrity Style Awards pays tribute to the dedication and creativity of Filipino "style ambassadors" in the field of music, film, television, and fashion – celebrities who never fail to stand out by making the most out of life and look good doing it.


Hosted by singer and TV host Marc Abaya, the launch event of the Star Studio Celebrity Style Awards held on June 29 at Dusit Thani Manila, Makati City announced the list of nominees for the different award categories.

Being the very first awards show mounted by the magazine, the Star Studio Celebrity Style Awards selected its nominees via a thorough selection process. The Star Studio editorial team collated entries for each category based on a specific style criteria. To complete the process, a formidable "Style Council" comprised of an exclusive group of experts from different style and fashion related industries, deliberated and decided on the final five nominees per category.

The Star Studio Celebrity Style Awards categories are divided into three types: People’s Choice Awards, Technical Awards and Celebrity Awards. A second style council will be convened to decide on the winners for both Technical and Celebrity Awards categories, while the winners for People’s Choice will be based on public voting via texting. The voting period for the People’s Choice Awards will be from 12nn of July 7 to 12nn of September 3.

Cat Woman Robber Prowling Streets of New York

I gotta give this woman credit for creativity and guts. Where the heck is Batman when you need him?

A serial stickup artist with a penchant for disguises -- including a cat mask -- has sunk her claws into shoe and beauty stores in Manhattan and Queens, The Post has learned.

The last two hits by the sleek, amber-eyed thief took place last week -- targeting the high-end Arche shoe store on Astor Place in the East Village on Thursday and The Body Shop in Forest Hills, Queens, the next day.

In the strike at Arche, which was caught on video, the slick thief donned a cat mask, the source said.

According to the source, the lithe 5-foot-6, 115 pound thief, described in a wanted poster as possibly Middle Eastern, strode into the store at around 1:30 p.m. She prowled for about 45 minutes before donning her disguise and pouncing on a sales clerk.

"Give me the money. I have a gun," read a note Cat Woman passed to the worker, according to the source.
She got her paws on $86 in cash and scampered off, the source said.

A day later, Cat Woman turned into the Burqa Bandit, wrapping a black scarf over her head.

According to the source, she strode into The Body Shop on Austin Street and Continental Avenue in Queens at 12:50 p.m. and barked out her order to hand over some cash, the source said.

She fled with $500.

I hope this this cat woman crime spree lasts the rest of the summer.

Democrats Boogie Men : Predatory Lenders

Everyday when I come home from work, I make sure to say a prayer of thanks to God All Mighty for once again keeping me safe from, dare I say it, Predatory Lenders.

According to politicians like President Obama, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, these critters are out there lurking in the shadows ready to pounce on unsuspecting Americans and force them to borrow money.

But God is good though, because I’ve never seen a PL. Although I’ve heard some stories about their powers of persuasion, still, I have to count my blessings. Many others are less fortunate.

Okay, let’s get back to reality.

The whole concept of the Predatory Lender is yet another Boogie Man Liberals love to create to sway the emotions of the public. It’s about as substantive as cotton candy. But, it gives license to thousands of people who borrowed more money than they could afford, for homes they had no business buying.

Does personal responsibility account for anything anymore?

I guess in the Liberal world, it doesn’t, which is why some people need Democrats to protect them from the big bad lenders throwing money in peoples faces.

But, just in case, I won’t stop praying.

FERGIE READY TO LEAVE BLACK EYE PEAS

Fergie is on the verge of leaving the Black Eyed Peas permanently as tension in the band has become intolerable for her, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

The band has a full tour schedule for the summer and is planning a tour for early 2011. But Fergie won’t commit for that part of the tour, we learned, and the reason is she’s talking about leaving the band for good. The other reason is she’s decided she wants to have a baby!

“Fergie is saying she wants out of the band and the second half of the tour isn’t confirmed for early next year,” the source said.“Things have gotten really bad with Will.i.Am. And it’s not just Fergie who is clashing with him. So is the rest of the band. His ego is out of control. “Fergie just wants to get away from the whole thing.”

Fergie has kept the news so secret that very few people know and she is not ready to make the announcement right now, the source told RadarOnlne.com.

“I don’t know if she’ll admit or deny it when it leaks out, but I do know that it’s 100 percent true, she’s got everything planned out and she says she can’t be convinced to change her mind,” the source told RadarOnline.com. “And she really wants a baby with Josh,” the source said, referring to Fergie’s husband Josh Duhamel. “Between that and the bad blood with Will, it looks like the 2011 tour is in big trouble and she’s saying she’s going to split for good.”

Scant hours after famed Mexican music superstar SERGIO VEGA aka El SHAKA told worried fans he was very much alive, he was shot dead on his way to perform a concert. Vega who was renowned for tunes about Mexico's drug south of the border, was pumped full of bullets, the BBC reports.

El Shaka, 40 rose to fame for "narcocorridos" songs glamorizing drug cartel much like gangsta rap in US.At least seven other performers who sang drug songs been killed in the past three years, the target of warring drug gangs.On Saturday, Vega spoke Saturday to a website La Oreja to deny rumors he had been murdered.

"It's happened to me for years now, someone tells a radio station or a newspaper I've been killed, or suffered an accident," Vega said. "And then I have to call my dear mum, who has heart trouble, to reassure her."

Eight alleged Russian spies have been busted by the feds for allegedly carrying out "long-term, 'deep-cover' assignments" inside the United States, the Justice Department said.

Two other people were also arrested for allegedly taking part in the operation, and an eleventh person remains at large.

The arrests took place yesterday in and around New York City and in Boston and Arlington, Va.

All of the suspects are charged in Manhattan federal court with conspiring to act as agents of a foreign government without notifying the American attorney general, and 10 are also charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering.

During the hearing today, the proceedings were deemed so sensitive that the court was cleared at one point, a rare event.
Among other things, the Russians allegedly wanted information on President Obama's plans heading into a nuclear summit with Russian officials.

According to court papers in the case, the U.S. government intercepted a message from Russian intelligence headquarters in Moscow to two of the defendants. The message states that their main mission is "to search and develop ties in policymaking circles in US" and send intelligence reports.

The court papers cited numerous examples of communications intercepted by U.S. investigators that spelled out what the 10 allegedly were trying to do.

The former John McCain running mate, Sarah Palin, addressed a paying audience of several hundred people in Norfolk and accused Obama of selling out ally Israel in over its naval blockade of Gaza and treating Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shabbily.

On May 31, Israeli naval commandos killed nine pro-Palestinian activists in clashes aboard a Turkish ship headed for Gaza, setting off a world outcry and forcing Israel to ease its three-year-old blockade.

She also said Obama lacked the resolve to stand up to Russia and China.

"Do they think, really, that we're getting anything in return for all this bowing and kowtowing and apologizing? No, we don't get anything positive in return for this," Palin said at the event spearheaded by a Norfolk talk radio station.

"So while President Obama is getting pushed around by the likes of Russia and China, our allies are left to wonder about the value of an alliance with our country any more. They're asking what is it worth," she said.

Palin, former Virginia Sen. George Allen and Iran-Contra figure Oliver North, who ran for a Virginia Senate seat and lost, each took turns decrying what they said was the deterioration of U.S. military might and will under Obama's watch.

Palin said that Obama and an allied Democratic Congress had cut military spending while showing no such restraint on other expenditures, running up trillions in new deficits.

True Blood Season 3 Episode 3 Recap: It Hurts Me Too

The episode starts off with Tara enjoying everything there is to enjoy about being with a vampire. They head to a cheap motel and Tara tries to take her mind off Eggs. But really Tara come on now. Do you really think this Franklin guy can be trusted? He’s so creepy looking. Sookie shows what a great friend she is and uses some of the money Eric gave her to give Eggs a proper funeral. Tara accepts her grand gesture of apology and moves back in with her. Just when you think things with Tara are going to calm down they don’t. Franklin shows up yet again with his creepy tiny fangs and glamors Tara, manipulating her to let him inside. Tara should just stop answering the door from now on.

Another person trying to maintain a sense of normalcy is Jason. He’s discovered a new purpose in life! He wants to be a cop. Apparently he didn’t realize it required ya know, effort and time because he can barely sit still long enough to study. It doesn’t matter however because he’s still haunted by what he’s hiding. It continues to make him crazy and distracts him from his latest passion. By the end of the episode it looks like he changes his mind about being a cop and burns the application. It’s a shame he did because it looks like there will be a vacancy in the force when Bud quits. I appreciate the great Jason butt shot though.

Arlene goes to the doctor to find out for sure that she’s pregnant. He confirms what she already knows but fills her in on a little surprise. The baby is just over 9 weeks. Judging by the shocked look on her face, she hasn’t been dating Terry that long. Yikes, does that mean her baby daddy is Rene? That’s quite a secret to hold on to. “My baby daddy is a dead serial killer.” Poor Terry is thrilled when Arlene tells him she’s pregnant and she can’t bring herself to tell him the truth. Has it really only been 9 weeks?

Sookie heads to Jackson to find out information about Bill because as we all know, the girl cannot sit still to save her life. She’s accompanied by newcomer Alcide, a werewolf sent to look after her by Eric. I welcome this man’s presence on the show. Just sayin’. We flashback to 1868 and get a glimpse of Bill’s previous life with his wife and children. He returns home from the war, fresh as a vampire, to discover his daughter has been sent away and his son has died from disease. His night gets worse when his wife freaks out at her new undead husband and Lorena shows up to make it worse. I really really hate Lorena.

Bill decides to accept the King’s offer to work in Mississippi with him. It looks like he has sneaky motives and Lorena calls him out on it. It’s a shame Bill didn’t kill her when he set her on fire last week. But if he had killed her, this episode wouldn’t have been “twisted.” Lorena provokes Bill enough to get him to have animal-esque hate sex with her. He’s so disgusted with himself during the act that he twists Lorena’s head all the way around so he doesn’t have to look at her. Ugh. Nightmares! That was some exorcist shit right there. Lorena sickeningly seems to enjoy it and Bill hates himself for what he’s done.

But, he wasn’t alone. He along with other Democrats filibustered the 1964 Civil rights act for nearly three months. He personally talked his head off on the senate floor for 14 hours.

You won’t find many places that will mention this because Byrd’s history along with the true heritage of the Democrat party has been successfully “white washed” as much as the white sheets he used to wear.

In fact, the “white wash” has been so skillful thanks to the greatest propaganda and revisionist history campaign ever implemented in America; most African Americans believe that it was the Republicans who used to hold them down in the chains of slavery.

But, that’s a false history!

Democrats are the original enslavers of African Americans.

Democrats invented Jim Crow laws.

Democrats are the original domestic terrorists by forming the Klu Klux Klan who used to lynch Black people on the regular.

Democrats having lost their battle to keep slavery alive and well, wanted segregation to take its place and Robert Byrd was not a unique fella in that regard.

Sen. Robert Byrd of West Virginia, the longest-serving senator in U.S. history, has died at age 92.

Spokesman Jesse Jacobs says Byrd died peacefully at about 3 a.m. Monday at Inova Hospital in Fairfax, Va.

Byrd was elected to the Senate in 1958, after spending six years in the House. He was the Senate majority leader for six years during the late 1970s and 1980s and was third in the line of succession for the presidency.

As either chairman or the senior Democrat on the Appropriations Committee for 20 years, he steered billions of dollars in federal spending to West Virginia.

Byrd became more frail after the death of his wife, Erma, in 2006. By 2009, aides were wheeling him to and from the Senate floor in a wheelchair.
