Why Do We Love - When Love Seems To Hate Us?

Mi Familia. . . . Can I be real with you?

Is that cool? Alright, well here’s my situation.

On Sept 3, 2009 at 5:59 a.m. according to my time B`wood officially declares that I will focus more on myself and not other people.

Put myself first and everyone else on the sideline. Don’t you think it’s about time?

Because seriously have you ever run across those people that you’re perhaps overly nice too and they just keep taking and taking until you’re just drained.

I mean really? Am I on a Puffy remix – because all I keep hearing is:

TAKE THAT – TAKE THAT!

Yeah, I know the whole sha’bang about being there for someone, because that’s included in the bylaws of the:

BE A FRIEND NATIONAL AGREEMENT HANDBOOK:
Effective January 2009
VOL 9
“Pursuant to this policy, the parties have agreed upon the various articles hereinafter set forth. This Agreement constitutes a collective agreement between Negroes and their fellow counterparts. Each Negro shall have the right to join or assist their friend, or to refrain from such activity, freely without fear of penalty or reprisal, and each friend shall be protected in the exercise of such right.”

Oh and before I forget the Obama Administration amended the agreement to include:

“All friends shall be treated fairly and equitably in all aspects without regard to political affiliation, race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, age, parental status or disabling condition, and with regard and protection of their privacy and constitutional rights. – Let the chil’dren say. . . YES Ma’am . . . HOT DIGGITY DAMN! (SideBar – that Obama Administration be on it)

Nonetheless, what does that say about one’s character in the long run? Or, furthermore what does that say about me? Not too much. . . Can’t you see?

I believe their should be something in it for me. I mean let’s be real some days shouldn’t it be all about B?

Or perhaps I’m just being selfish. Then again, . . . naw shorty … I gonna have to take disgree for 100 please!

But, peeps here’s where the real issue lies. Freakin’ Relationships!

Songwriter Jazmin Sullivan struck a cord with me with her song Lions & Tiger & Bears.

Most circumstance, I know my fate
But in this love thing, I don’t get the game
Why does it fell like those who give in
They only wind up losing a friend

Just ‘cause I love you and you love me
It doesn’t mean that we’ll ever be
Fly ‘cross the ocean, sing for the queen
But the most frightening thing is you and me

I’m not scared of lions and tigers and bear, oh my
But I’, scared of loving you
I’m not scared to perform at a sold out affair, that’s right
But, I’m scared of loving you!

When you decide to date someone there is sort of this unwritten agreement/contract that you are both accepting the fact that you are in each other lives and you should at least try to make time for that person regardless.

I mean communication is key, PEOPLE!

Negro you telling me out of 24 hours in a day you can’t take 20 or so seconds to let someone know you are thinking about them.

OOOOOH, I FEEL A FEVA cumin’ on!

If one doesn’t have time to be in a relationship with someone, hell why drag it out?

I mean B’wood knows he’s not the best communicator. Now porn connoisseur YES, communicator, NO!

But, I come to the conclusion that to have a successful relationship with someone rather it be with family, friends, or spouse, you have to express how you feel about things, and reach out to your partner to let them know you care.

But, more importantly, LET THEM KNOW YOU ARE THERE!

OHHHH, LAWD . . . Where’s my:

HOW TO KEEP A MAN NATIONAL AGREEMENT HANDBOOK!
