Elle Magazine’s Annual Music Issue celebrates women leading the glitzy and not sometimes not so glamorous music industry. Nicki Minaj has taken the rap game to a whole new level but it’s her spread in Elle’s Music Issue that caught our attention.
Her lips are lined and painted in a color that compliments her complexion, her cheek possesses a shimmering highlight and her skin is glowing without flaw. Minaj is sporting a dramatic eye, also known as the “cat eye.” This look makes a statement whether the eyes are open or closed.
How to get this look? You will need 1. An angled eye shadow brush 2. Gel or cream eyeliner 3. Lash adhesive and 4. Fierce pair of false eye lashes. Gently dip the angled brush into the gel eyeliner. Holding the brush as you would a pencil, line your inner eye dragging the brush at an angle toward and beyond the outer eye.
A pair of false eyelashes will help create dramatic, intensity to your eyes. Apply a full lash band of false eyelashes to the upper eyelids.
* How to apply false eyelashes? Remove lashes from the container. Apply a pearl-sized, droplet of glue to a flat surface. Dip the tweezer into the glue, apply or drag a thin line of adhesive onto the lash band. Allow the glue to settle for 8-10 seconds. Apply false lashes slightly above the natural lash line. For extra full lashes, coat both sides of the upper and lower lashes with 4 black mascara to complete the look.
