If that’s a little out of your price range, then Jil Sander at Uniqlo might be right up your street. The label and the Japanese clothing brand have been bringing out collections since 2009 and we’ve recently become fans.
We’ve always been a bit wary of designer collaborations since a friend who’s an in-house designer at a massive high street retailer told us their ‘celebrity range’ was designed by the usual in house team and all the celebrity did was pass her approving eye over the collection.
Not bad you might think, but when you consider the premium prices the collection carries, we decided they wouldn’t be getting our patronage. As a result, it takes a fair bit for us to part with our hard earned pennies on designer/celebrity collaborations.
Looking at the Uniqlo range, we feel the Jil Sander aesthetic is definitely present. It’s all done with minimal ‘frilliness’ and impeccable tailoring. The latest collection came out at the end of March and these are our favourite pieces. Designer style at high street prices. And a lot of it is currently on sale! Nice!
