Jennifer Hudson: 'I Didn't Know I Was Plus-Sized.'

We love J-Hud - we love her grit in turning a rejection from American Idol into an Oscar win for her role in Dreamgirls. Her rendition of 'And I am Telling You' gives us goose bumps every time we hear it.

But her interview in the latest issue of Self magazine has us scratching our heads. She says: 'I didn't even know I was considered plus-sized until I came to Hollywood. I thought I was the perfect size.'

Where does a person grow up where they and everyone else apparently, think being size 20 is normal, perfect even? As the face of Weight Watchers, Jennifer has gone from a UK 20 (US 16) to a UK 10 (US 6) and has lost over 5 stone.

She is due to release a book in January which, according to the press release, will 'chronicle Hudson's experience growing up in an environment where healthy living was not a priority, to dealing with talk of her weight as she competed on American Idol and won her first Oscar, to her eventual decision to get healthy after the birth of her son and her success losing weight with the help of Weight Watchers.'

Rumour has it she is being paid up to $1 million for the deal. Way to go Jen!
