Lawd, this story dun' spread like wild fire . . . But, B’wood got your back Ms. Cole!
Apparently word on the street is that Ms. Keyshia Cole doesn’t show up for events she’s booked for, even when she’s fronted $15,000 for it. A club promoter sued her and the trial went down the other day. But according to TMZ, the judge thought my g’rl was illiterate:
“Keyshia Cole was ripped apart by a judge in New Jersey yesterday — a judge who called the singer’s testimony “nonsensical” and then questioned her literacy.
The judge not only ruled against Cole, but she blasted the singer in her written opinion, saying Cole’s testimony was “confused and at times nonsensical.”
But the judge’s biggest shot: Cole appeared so reluctant to read certain documents while testifying, “that it appears at times that she was not literate.”
Eventually, the judge realized Cole was literate — when Cole managed to read documents that she thought helped her case.
Keyshia lost and had to pay $160,000 in damages.
Sidebar ~ Now Ques? Why should Keyshia be reading anything, hell I feel that’s what you pay lawyers for? But, then again, maybe the judge wasn’t haven’t that.
But, Look-AH here “BIG WILLY JUDGE” "Ms. BOSS LADY" "LADY IN BLACK". . . You out of pocket for saying “it appears at times that she was not literate”. ARE U FLEXIN’?
