Roof Collapses at Purim Party on Cast of ‘Jersey Shore’
While taking the night off to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Purim in Manhattan on Saturday, part of the roof collapsed at the Masks and Mayhem event where Sex and the City star Chris Noth and Jersey Shore cast mate’s Vinny Guadagino and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi had been partying.
Luckily for the Guido an Guidette bunch, Snooki, who was seen at the bash with her new boyfriend Emilio Masella, took to her official twitter to assure fans that she came out of the Sony Building in NYC unharmed

ANITA BAKER AVOIDS GOING TO JAIL
Anita Baker avoided jail, but she still didn't sign off on the settlement. <--Smart Girl
Anita Baker addressed the court on Friday telling the judge she felt pressured to sign over her royalites to ex-husband Walter Bridgeforth, without the benefit of reading the document. The judge agreed she shouldn't be pressured and said he wouldn't jail her for contempt, even though the deadline for her to sign had passed. Instead, he appointed an entertainment lawyer to go over the document with her. The document entitles Walter to 1/2 of the royalites from the 2 CDs Anita recorded during their 20 year marriage, "Giving You the Best I Got" in 1988 and "Rhythm of Love" in 1994.
Walter's issue is the amount Anita is willing to fork over and whether or not he's entitled to royalties from any 'Best of' CDs.
Walt says Anita recieved $200,000.00 from Rhino records in 2009, but Anita says after expenses, Walter's cut should be $12,000.00 and she also wants to make sure the document says he gets royalities from the two CDs recorded during their marriage only and not any 'Best of' compilations.

Marie Osmond's Son's Final Words
Being a child of a celebrity has pressures most of us don’t have to deal with. I don’t think it’s an easy thing to deal with. It seems like many celebrity children have ruinous lives and those that are well grounded seem to be the exception.
People Magazine reports:
Moments before he apparently leapt to his death Friday, Michael Blosil text messaged a female friend to alert her to a suicide note he had left in his downtown Los Angeles apartment.
According to a TMZ report, around 9 p.m. Blosil sent a text to the friend, a fellow resident of the Met apartment building with whom he had planned to spend time that night.
When she arrived at his eighth-floor apartment, Blosil's roommates – who hadn't known anything was wrong – let her in. They recovered the note, in which Blosil, a student at the nearby Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising majoring in apparel manufacturing, had written about being incredibly unhappy.
He also talked about "things he would be doing for the very last time," the TMZ report says, and called the woman "his only good friend in L.A."

The Real Reason Why Patrick Kennedy is Leaving Congress
The Kennedys are American’s royal family!
Or that’s how Liberals have carefully crafted this myth for over 60 years. It’s all a media-crafted bill of goods to sell an image for a political agenda, namely, Liberalism.
If a Kennedy was involved in a piece of legislation, it had to be good for the country. You know, like that ObamaCare thing.
However, the Kennedy mystique was really built on illegality, oh like Joseph Kennedy’s bootlegging activities during Prohibition.
Joseph Kennedy committed many sins!
And the penalty for those sins of the father has visited each successive generation.
The National Enquire reports:
The untold shocking story behind why Patrick Kennedy has forsaken Congress - to help his mother Joan, the late Sen. Ted Kennedy's ex, battle her booze-driven demons.
That's the heartbreaking family secret behind Congressman Patrick Kennedy's decision to quit politics - he's leaving public life to care for his troubled mother Joan.
Patrick went through rehab as recently as this past July, when he checked himself into a facility because he said he was showing signs of a relapse.
Joan - who was married to Ted from 1958 to 1983 - had her stomach pumped after being rushed to a hospital the night the senator died, sources told The ENQUIRER.

Chile Quake Prompts Tsunami Warnings for Hawaii
From The New Times:
A deadly 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck central Chile early Saturday, collapsing buildings, shattering major bridges and highways across a long strip of the country, and sending tsunami warnings along the entire Pacific basin.
The director of the National Emergency Agency, Carmen Fernández, said that 147 people died so far, according to local news reports. The death toll was expected to rise, particularly around Concepción, Chile’s second-largest metropolitan area, which is roughly 70 miles from the quake’s center.
There, cars were overturned, rubble fell into the cracked streets and a 15-story building collapsed, news agencies and the Chilean news media reported. In Santiago, the capital, which is about five hours to the north and about 200 miles from the epicenter, frightened residents felt the city shake for nearly 90 seconds. Car alarms pierced the air during the night and early morning hours.
But while there were long lines at supermarkets and gas stations, the capital city, according to residents there, was mostly calm by the late afternoon Saturday. That was a far different picture from the devastation that rocked Concepción, five hours away. More than two dozen significant aftershocks struck the country and President Michelle Bachelet declared a “state of catastrophe.” She said later in the day that officials were not yet able to determine the full extent of the damage.

Despair . . . Should Never Be An Option!
Ms. Olive “Marie” Osmond . . . My heart is consumed with sadness after hearing the news.
Ms. Osmond is the sibling of the infamous Osmond family. She is an actress, singer, doll designer and for you youngins’ she was recently seen on Dancing with the Stars Season 5.
Well unfortunately it saddens me to say that on February 26, 2010, “Osmond’s son Michael Blosil committed suicide, by jumping to his death. Michael leapt from his apartment in Los Angeles, California. He had reportedly battled severe depression for most of his life. Michael Blosil was only 18 years old.”
According to the Associated Press:
“Osmond said in a statement through her publicist that her family is devastated by the "tragic loss." She did not provide details on the death.
Entertainment Tonight reported on its Web site that Blosil jumped to his death Friday night from a downtown Los Angeles apartment building.
Officers responded to an apparent suicide jump in the area, but the victim was not identified Saturday, Los Angeles Police Officer Gregory Baek said.
"My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time," Osmond said in the statement.
Blosil reportedly left a note which referred to a lifelong battle with depression.
In 2007, Osmond said Michael was treated at a rehabilitation facility, but she didn't disclose the nature of his problem.
Donny Osmond, Blosil's uncle, told Entertainment Tonight: "Please pray for my sister and her family."
Michael is one of Osmond's five adopted children. She also has three other children from two marriages. She divorced Brian Blosil in 2007 after two decades of marriage. She and her first husband Stephen Craig divorced in 1985.”
Sidebar ~ Ms. Osmond I send my condolence to you and your family.
Being a young man who has been battling with depression for over 15 years and has dealt with suicide attempts, I perhaps can relate to your son’s pain.
I hate to say I know exactly what he was going thru, because I never have stood in his shoes. And as we all know, everyone handles pain, sorrow, triumphs, and life hurdles differently. However, I can say that I can relate to his feeling of despair, being obsolete and being fed up with the hand you’ve been dealt with.
I pray that you can be strong for your other children, family members and more importantly be strong for yourself.
Michael Blosil, I hope you've found the peace you’ve been looking for, and even though these words perhaps are too late. IF I COULD HAVE MET YOU, I WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU THAT YOU NEVER WERE ALONE!
RIP…
~ B’wood

Far Left Site-Think Progress Smears Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ) What else is new?
Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ) does this interview with Lib blogger Mike Stark who in the below video. Stark, like all Libs mischaracterizes Rush Limbaugh as a hater, like all Libs usually do because they never want to discuss substantive issues.
Why bother when name calling and misrepresentations will do?Frank makes an impassioned criticism on the devastating consequences of abortion, particularly in the Black community where 50% of potential Black babies are aborted.
Of course like a typical lib, the substance of what Frank is saying has no impact on Stark who continues on his agenda.
But, Alex Seitz-Wald of Think Progress takes the deception even further by misrepresenting that Frank said Blacks were better off during slavery.
Frank doesn’t even come close to saying that. And even Stark himself doesn’t react to what Frank actually said by asking directly, “Are you saying Blacks were better off during slavery?” That would’ve been the logical follow up question if that was what Frank was trying to say.
But, that question was never asked because Stark understood the analogy Frank was trying to make between what’s happening to the Black community today under legalized abortion that has taken 50 innocent lives since 1973.
It’s an American Holocaust that Liberals routinely sweep under the rug.
Nice try Think Progress, but no cigar.

Drunk as a Skunk Mon Throws Baby onto Concrete Floor in Australia (Video)
CCTV footage of a mother apparently throwing her baby onto a concrete floor has been released to media by an Australian judge.
The unnamed 21-year-old mother appears to throw the 10-month-old baby to the floor, allegedly in anger after an argument with her partner.
A man then tussles with the mother, who reports say was drunk, and attempts to remove the baby from her hands.
The incident occurred in the Palmerston bus exchange in the Northern Territory, Australia last May.
The mother is pleading not guilty to recklessly endangering serious harm to the child, claiming she dropped the child by accident.
The baby was taken to hospital, but suffered no major injuries.

Shakira - "Gypsy" Music Video and Lyrics
Check out Shakira’s hot new video "Gypsy" featuring tennis champ Rafael Nadal.
Here's what Shakira has to say about Rafael Nadal:
"Shooting this video with Rafa was a great experience, he is very sweet and made it easy and fun. He and I have so much in common — starting out so young in our respective careers and traveling the world — I felt this would translate the spirit of the lyrics in the song and I was thrilled he wanted to be a part of it."
Rafael Nadal's response:
"It has been a great experience and I had a lot of fun doing it. I had some time in between tournaments and preparation and could not miss this opportunity. Shakira, as always, was spectacular. Working with a woman as charming as her, well, it makes it a lot easier to tell the truth. It was great, very easy, she’s really sweet and that always makes the hours go by faster."

Broke my heart
On the road
Spent the weekend
Sewing the pieces back on
Friends and thoughts pass me by
Walking gets too boring
When you learn how to fly
Not the homecoming kind
Take the top off
And who knows what you might find
Won't confess all my sins
You can bet I'll try it
But I can't always win
'Cause I'm a gypsy
Are you coming with me?
I might steal your clothes
And wear them if they fit me
I never made agreements
Just like a gypsy
And I won't back down
'Cause life's already bit me
And I won't cry
I'm too young to die
If you're gonna quit me
'Cause I'm a gypsy
('Cause I'm a gypsy)
I can't hide
what I've done
Scars remind me
Of just how far that I've come
To whom it may concern
Only run with scissors
When you want to get hurt
I said hey you
You're no fool
If you say 'NO'
Ain't it just the way life goes?
People fear what they don't know
Come along for the ride, Oh yeah
Come along for the ride, whoo-hoo.

Diva - Cast and Characters
LEAD CAST:
Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez stars in her fifth primetime series on GMA-7, Diva. Here, she plays Sampaguita a.k.a. Sam, a hideous-looking woman who dreams of becoming a famous singer someday. Sam's singing prowess and good-natured personality will lead her to find a spot in the entertainment industry despite her unpleasant looks.
Regine was able to sympathize with her character "Sam" because of the discrimination that they go through. Even though Regine's character has an extraordinary talent in singing, she had to cover her face with clothes or even mascot costumes so as not to "scare away" the people.
Diva will also reunite the sweet comic tandem of Regine and Mark Anthony Fernandez. They first worked together in the romantic-comedy series Ako Si Kim Samsoon. In Diva, Mark plays Gary, Sam's cool and loyal childhood friend. A good lyricist and a good writer, Gary's goal is to find the woman who deserves his love.
IN SUPPORT:
TJ Trinidad. In her first TV project with the Asia's Songbird, TJ plays Martin, a rich, charming, boy-next-door kind of guy. He is a good composer and very passionate about his music. His parents want him to focus on classical music but he prefers pop and alternative music.
Rufa Mae Quinto. This sexy comedienne portrays the role of Lady, a model who becomes a singer despite her lack of talent. Sam will be her ghost singer and eventually her rival. Lady will make Sam's life miserable.
Glaiza de Castro. Young actress Glaiza follows up her kontrabida role as Eunice in Stairway To Heaven with another kontrabida role here in Diva. She plays Tiffany, Lady's personal assistant who will eventually become a singer also.
Jaya. The Queen of Soul finally gets to realize her dream of acting in a soap opera via Diva. Here, she plays Barbra, the know-it-all best friend of Sam.
Randy Santiago. This '90s matinee idol plays George, an executive producer of a recording company who will give Sam the opportunity to become a diva.
Buboy Garovillo. APO Hiking Society's Buboy Garovillo is Elvis, the loving father of Sam. A former musician turned taxi driver, Elvis will push his daughter to reach for her dream. He is even Sam's avid fan and will support his daughter in every step she makes to reach her dream.
Gloria Diaz. Former Miss Universe Gloria Diaz plays Paula, the mother of Sam. She is a former beauty queen and a frustrated singer/actress who blames her ugly daughter for losing opportunity in showbiz.
Mark Herras. This Starstruck alumna plays Smith, Sam's half-brother. This is the second soap of Mark with Regine. They first worked together in Forever in My Heart.
Ynna Asistio. She will portray the role of Vanessa, the neighbor of Sam who has a big crush on Smith.
This primetime series, which will premiere on March 1, is being directed by Dominic Zapata.

Regine Velasquez Stars in GMA-7's First Kantaserye "Diva"
GMA-7 presents its first-ever "kantaserye" Diva, a drama-musical starring Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez and her reunion project with her former Ako Si Samsoon leading man Mark Anthony Fernandez, plus TJ Trinidad.
Aside from Regine, Mark Anthony and TJ, Diva will feature a star-studded cast composed of Rufa Mae Quinto, and Glaiza de Castro along with music icons Buboy Garovillo and Randy Santiago. It also marks the first time that the Queen of Soul, Jaya, will take part in a soap opera.
Adding color to the story are Mark Herras, Ynna Asistio and former beauty queen-turned-actress Gloria Diaz.
Synopsis: Diva is about the funny but touching life of Sampaguita a.k.a. Sam (Regine Velasquez), a hideous-looking woman who dreams of becoming a famous singer someday. Sam's singing prowess and good-natured personality will lead her to find a spot in the entertainment industry despite her unpleasant looks.
But life will not be that easy for Sam because there are pretty, sexy and talented ladies who will make life miserable for her. These include Lady (Rufa Mae Quinto), a model who aspires to be a diva and Tiffany (Glaiza de Castro), Lady's personal assistant who will eventually becomes a singer too. These women will be Sam's friends-turned-rivals.
Another character who will hinder Sam's dreams of becoming a singer is her own mother, Paula (Gloria Diaz), a former beauty queen and a frustrated singer-actress. She blames her ugly daughter for making her lose the opportunity to become big in showbiz.
Unlike her mother, Sam's dad Elvis (Buboy Garovillo), a former musician-turned-taxi driver, is very supportive of her dreams. He will push his daughter to reach for her dream. He is Sam's number one fan.
Aside from Elvis, the people who believe in Sam's talents are her best friend Barbra (Jaya), her half-brother Smith (Mark Herras), her neighbor Vanessa (Ynna Asistio), and George (Randy Santiago), an executive producer of a recording company.
Two young and gorgeous men, meanwhile, will fall for Sam. They are cousins Gary (Mark Anthony Fernandez) and Martin (TJ Trinidad). Gary is Sam's cool and loyal childhood friend. He is a good lyricist and a good writer. His goal is to find a woman who deserves his love.
Martin, on the other hand, is a rich, charming, boy-next-door kind of guy. He is a good composer and very passionate about his music. His parents want him to focus on classical music but he prefers pop and alternative music.
Who among these men will truly love Sam? Does having an ugly face automatically become an impediment to one's dreams? Is surgery the best solution to fulfill one's ambitions? When Sam gets the spotlight that she aspires for, will she manage to withstand the intrigues that go along with it?
Join Sam as she takes a humorous and awe-inspiring journey in GMA-7's first-ever kantaserye titled Diva. Under the direction of Dominic Zapata, it will air on the Kapuso Network starting Monday, March 1, right after The Last Prince on GMA Telebabad.

GMA News and Public Affairs is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. To mark this milestone, GMA News comes up with "Panata sa Bayan," a song that will serve as the organization's official anthem.

Charles Rangel Gets Slap on the Wrist by Ethics Committee (aka Wolves Investigating a Wolf)
Did you really think Charles “Corrupt” Rangel was going to get more than, “Don’t do that again, Charlie!” from fellow low-lifes that make up the Ethics Committee?
This sham of an investigation might as well been done by the state of Iran trying to root out global terrorism.
This is an example of Nancy Pelosi’s promise to have the most ethical congress in history.
Rangel, a tax cheat, who’s Ways and Means Committee is responsible for writing the tax laws for the country, gets to keep his job even though he’s one of the most corrupt members in congress.
The New York Post reports:
Embattled Harlem Rep. Charles Rangel broke House rules and will get a "public admonishment" from the House Ethics Committee for taking corporate-sponsored junkets to the Caribbean.
In a report to be released today, the panel concludes the Democrat accepted the trips despite House rules that prohibit financing of lawmakers' trips by corporations.
The committee found that Rangel broke the House's gift rule by getting reimbursed for the junkets.
The panel also said two Rangel staffers were aware of the corporate funding. Onr of them, identified by Fox News as his former chief of staff, George Dalley, stepped down last year.
The committee told Rangel to pay back the cost of the trips.
Under House ethics rules adopted in 2007, lawmakers can't accept trips longer than a day from any corporation that employs or retains a registered lobbyist.
Asked whether going on the trip was a mistake, Rangel replied: "Hell no. Why would I [regret going] if it was approved by the Ethics Committee?"
Full Story
Let me get this straight.
Rangel hops on a plane and goes wherever, doesn’t reach into his pocket to pay for the ticket, or hotel room, but doesn’t know how it all got paid for?
Also, the very committee that authorized this junket which is a scam in itself to buy influence in congress, is the same committee who investigates Rangel for breaking House rules in the first place?
The joke is on all the American people because these are the politicians who are representing you and me and these Democrats will act as sleazy as they want because they know the fix is already in.
So much for ethics, Nancy!
